Powered by Superior Tray Systems, the HIGHBUS System is engineered modular for tall high-rise construction projects. The customized SUPERIORBUS systems are inherently compatible with HIGHBUS construction projects. The former can be used for additional routing of power feeder cables for auxiliary equipment requirements and early source to load testing of equipment during construction.

The HIGHBUS systems is engineered for thermal contraction-expansion and building sway with fewer components and connection points allowing for rapid trouble-free installation with zero misalignment issues.

☑ System Balance
Properly balanced systems ensure equal impedance between conductors within each phase of a cable bus system. This ensures the maximal current carrying capacity is achieved.

☑ Safety
Cable bus uses fully insulated power cables from source to load. Shock absorbers protect damage to cable insulation during short circuit. The entire system is protected by a welded aluminum enclosure.

☑ Reliability
Cable bus is 100% maintenance free and has a long service life. There are no conductor splices to torque and monitor.

☑ Quick Drawing Layout
All systems are supplied with complete layout drawings to ensure an efficient installation. Based on a customer supplied centerline sketch, layout drawing packages can be generated in the matter of 1 hour with in-house written software routines.
OPTIMIZED EFFICIENCY
HIGHBUS is incomparably more efficient than bus duct. And it’s not magic. It’s just electromagnetics. Regular bus duct uses flat copper or aluminium bus bars, with high electromagnetic interference. By contrast, in HIGHBUS regular cables are paralleled to form phases and neutral. By changing the arrangement of the cables in it, we have reduced the inductance and improved VOLTAGE DROP (the biggest problem in high-rises) by up to 50%. The skin effect in round cables and so-called weaving conductors together lead to higher virtual diameter of phases. Eventually, the impedance of the system steps down. The same basic electromagnetic idea is used in bundled conductor of transmission lines to reduce inductance. Furthermore, HIGHBUS has pre-configured terminations for direct connection to splitter system with standard set for up to six draws.
WATER PROTECTION
The waterproof floor flange water dam endures up to 12” of water. It comes with environmental seals, and 2-hour fire stops. With minimum installation time, the wet-dry rated HIGHBUS system eliminates replacement costs of water damaged electrical systems during installation and service life. Ease of installation reduces labour costs and maintenance requirements.
Permanent conductor connections use two bolts per cable (versus one friction joint per connection). Every section of HIGHBUS is fitted with a firestop at the building floor penetration. These features combine to ensure the most durable system available even in unexpected conditions.
RELIABILITY & DURABILITY
Cables are proven to be more reliable than sandwiched bus bars, especially in case of earthquake and floods. The cable terminations – as the most vulnerable points of a cable system – are placed in a patented sealed enclosure, developed by our company. Thus, we can we guaranty the performance of our system in wet/dry rated conditions. As well as its maintenance free status. HIGHBUS can even be installed during construction as provisional power line. And, at the end of construction it will continue to operate as the main power supply for the building.

Due to its wet/dry rating, HIGHBUS is impervious to water and water damages. Therefore, it is the only system on the market, currently, that can be used as provisional power supply during the construction and permanent power supply afterwards.

HIGHBUS is fully customized to suit individual customer requirements. It is configured to building requirements, with customized lengths for specific floor heights. Systems are designed to carry 2500A or 4000A per phase with a voltage of 600V for residential buildings.
This modular cable bus system is designed, manufactured and assembled in our production facility and the complete system is shipped in modular pieces for easy installation.
