A box connector connects cable tray to a indoor terminal box of a swichgear or transformer or any other metal housing structure.

A wall sleeve is used when it is necessary for a cable tray installation to pass transversely through a wall. The wall sleeve can combined with an environmental seal to provide a watertight seal where is required.

An environmental seal is used when a Superior Bus passes through a wall, roof or any structure requiring isolation from environmental elements such as water, air, gas, etc. In order to provide a watertight connection a sealant compound is applied to every point of contact between the cable tray/cables to the environmental flange plate and supporting wall sleeve structure.

The MCT Fire Stop provides a fireproof seal rated for up to 4 hours, for use when cable tray passes through a wall, floor, deck, bulkhead, etc. Constructed from a neoprene based product that forms a complete seal, the MCT is suitable for unstable and hazardous locations, being both air and water tight, even under high shock or high vibration conditions. While maintaining dielectric strength, the MCT is compact and can accommodate a large variety of power cables, as well as other conduits, piping and tubing.

These connectors take a single channel off a Tray sideways or downward. Hardware is included with the connector.

Structural connectors terminate cable trays on top of concrete floors. Hardware to mount the cable tray to the connect is included, and 1/2" hardware is recommended for the floor connection.

Horizontal and Vertical Hinged Splices offer field flexibility to any cable tray installation. Hinges splices give the option to go around pipes, ducts, and other obstacles that exist on site. Electrical continuity is maintained by using (AFS-C) bonding jumpers, which are also available from Superior Tray. Hinged splices for hefty tray and ladder tray come in sets of two and in sets of one for instrument / channel tray. All hinged splices require additional mechanical supports, as they do not provide the loading capacity of that of a solid splices.

4" and 6" wide channel / instrument tray systems are supplied with the following wrap around splice plates and hardware. Additional splice plates for field cuts can be ordered by the following catalog numbers.

A step down splice is used to connect a 6" segment of cable tray to a 4" segment of cable tray. Hardware is included.

These connectors are used to splice two segments of cable tray together and are provided with the supplied cable tray but can also be purchased seperately.

These splices are used for field cut tees if there is no room for bends or fittings. They are also used for attachment to metal enclosures.

Expansion Splice Plates for tray are designed to allow 1-1/2" free movement between adjacent straight lengths. When using expansion splices, it is important that the straight run be fixed permanently to its support at the approximate center between expansion joints whenever possible, and that all other points be supported in a manner that the longitudinal expansion is not restricted. Supports should be provided within one foot on each side of an expansion joint to ensure its proper functioning.

Bonding jumpers maintain electrical continuity across hinged and expansion splices. The aluminum jumpers are used with an oxidation inhibitor under the contact points. The short circuit rating is 2000 Amperes. Hardware is included.

Material Type: Tin Plated Braided Copper.
Length: 12? Standard.
Catalog Number for 600 amp rating: AFS-CT-600.
Catalog Number for 1000 amp rating: AFS-CT-1000

Blind End Plates are available for all tray types and are furnished with mounting hardware.

Channel End Plates are similar to regular end plates mentioned above.

Splice hardware is offered in standard zinc plated steel finish, or in 304 and 316 stainless steel to withstand corrosion under varied environmental conditions.
