Cable Tray Cover Fasteners
A complete line of cover fasteners is available for both
indoor and outdoor applications. Local conditions will
dictate the selection of the proper fastening device.
Cover fasteners must be ordered separately for the
application and spacing desired. Both clips and clamps
are used indoors, but only clamps are used for outdoor
applications. Standard quantities of clips and clamps
used for most conditions are given below:
Clip Style:
- 6 per 10' of straight cover.
- 4 minimum per horizontal or vertical 90 degree fitting.
- 6 per Tee fitting.
- 8 per Cross fitting.
Bar Clamp Style:
- 3 per 10' straight cover.
- 2 min. per horizontal or vertical 90 degree fitting.
- 3 per Tee fitting.
- 4 per Cross fitting.
Hold Down Clamps for Cable Tray
These heavy duty cover fasteners are used for covers installed in high wind areas. They are furnished with necessary hardware. Clamps are not recommended for hat-shaped covers.
Cover Clips for Hefty Tray
This cover clip is designed to fasten the Hefty Tray covers. Each clip is mill galvanized steel and furnished with a thumb screw to facilitate inverted installation on flanged covers.
Cover Clips for Ladder Tray
This cover clip is designed to fasten the Ladder Tray covers down.
Stand-Off Clips
Cover stand-off clips provide a means to mount the cover above the tray side rail, allowing side ventilation. Cover stand-off clips are used only with flanged covers and are available in various heights, offering a choice in the amount of open area for side ventilation.
Cover Fastening Screws
All covers may be secured with regular or self tapping sheet metal screws. Superior Tray offers either zinc plated regular screws or #6-20 Phillips pan head steel plated self drilling and self tapping screws.

Support Blocks
Cable support blocks are designed for clamping and supporting cables in cable tray runs. The dimensions and number of holes are CNC machined to the exact requirements of the customer. Support blocks are constructed from a Ultra High Molecular basket-accessories Polyethylene, a nonmetalic, nonmagnetic, nonconductive thermoplastic material. Each support block is furnished with threaded studs, complete with nuts bolts and flat washers.
